Ambition to Succeed 2026!

We are delighted to announce that applications for the Ambition to Succeed Programme are now open. Please feel free to share with your students and their supporters the Ambition to Succeed Programme Flyer and promotional Ambition to Succeed Video

A QR code can be found on the flyer which will direct you to the website for more information and to make an application.

We encourage applicants that are interested in studying a subject offered at the University of Kent as there is a scholarship attached to this progression scheme.

This programme is often oversubscribed; therefore, we will prioritise applicants who have achieved five GCSEs 9-4, including Maths and English, as well as meeting one or more of the following:

  • Their parent(s)/guardian(s) did not attend university
  • Have been in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM)
  • Are from a group which is under-represented in Higher Education, including:
    • Live in an area with lower than expected participation in higher education
    • Live or have lived in local authority care
    • Refugees or unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
    • Disabled students
    • Young carers
    • Those studying without the support of family/carers
    • Gypsy, traveller, Roma, showmen and boater
    • Child of a military family

Outcomes will be communicated to students by February 27, 2026. We will also provide you with a list of accepted students from your school shortly after this date.

We look forward to receiving applications from your students and working with them.

Best wishes

The Ambition to Succeed Team
