Head Start 2025!
Do you have students joining the University of Kent this September? Point them towards our Head Start webpages, where they’ll find resources, guidance, and support to help them prepare for university life.
We’re also running Head Start Live on Wednesday 24th September 2025, 10am–5pm.
This will be a full-day, on-campus event designed to help new students (and those supporting them) make a smooth transition into university. Taking place the week before Welcome Week, Head Start Live will include sessions on:
-
- Commuting and travel options
- Moving into accommodation
- Being a mature learner
- Advice for supporters (parents, carers, guardians)
It’s a fantastic opportunity for your students to meet others from Kent, Medway, Essex, London, East Sussex, and Surrey, build confidence, and start to feel at home before term begins. Encourage your students (and their families) to take advantage of this support; it can make all the difference to their first weeks at university.
Please encourage them to book their place for Head Start Live today!
