Over the course of three visits, students will be given the opportunity to conduct their own research project within our sports science laboratories, analyse their results, create a research poster, and present their findings to university staff. Awards will be given to the best research poster and best research presentation.
This is a brilliant opportunity for Y12/L3 students studying PE or a related subject. All three sessions will take place on our Canterbury campus, with the two research visits taking place during the school day and the poster presentation during the evening. The day visits will last from 9.30am to 2pm. As the sessions build upon one-another, we ask that schools/colleges commit to all three. The dates are:
- Visit one: Wednesday 5th OR 12th February
- Visit two: Wednesday 26th February OR 5th March
- Presentation Evening: Tuesday 1st April from 6pm to 7.30pm
We do have limited spots available due to lab capacity, so we recommend booking at your earliest convenience. Each school will be able to bring up towards 15 students each. To enrol onto the Inside Sport Science programme, please email Katrine at k.l.solvaag@kent.ac.uk or outreach@kent.ac.uk with your desired dates and estimated number of students.
