Do your students want to know more about what is really means to be a computer scientist?
The School of Computing are offering remote sessions, in which video conferencing will be used to link classes to a real-life computer scientist. The scientist will be available to answer all of your students’ questions and share their experiences of the profession and the opportunities presented by the industry. There is no need for high tech equipment to be able to access this activity, participating groups will be sent a link so that they can access the discussion simply using their internet browser.
This is ideal for students already studying Computer Science (Y12 or 13), or for groups of students who are considering this as an option. The School of Computing are also happy to run sessions specifically for female students, who are significantly underrepresented in this field.
This activity can be delivered to a full class.
