Tuesday 9 January Film 2018 An interactive day for students of Film and Media Studies in year 12, providing a taste of different approaches to film from our experts, and experience a day on the Canterbury Campus. Sessions will include: practical film editing, script writing, film analysis, and the opportunity to see university student’s work.

Bespoke Psychology Taster Sessions The School of Psychology are currently offering a range of taster sessions which aim to introduce students to some of the things studied within psychology.

 

In School or on a University Campus Year 12 and 13 Psychology
Bespoke Students as Researchers within Sociology The School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research are currently offering a short and extended ‘Students as Researchers’ outreach activity for students in Year 12 and 13. This activity will involve creating a research proposal around a chosen research question, with the possibility of continuing to undertake research and present their findings within the extended version.

Bespoke Mediation This module is offered by the Kent Law School. It is delivered over the course of 3-4 sessions whereby students will be introduced to the idea of mediation and supported to engage within the process. The module is designed to support GCSE students in developing useful transferable skills such as listening, formulating arguments and objectivity.

 

In School Year 10 and 11 Law
Bespoke Build a Robotic Arm Workshop In this session, students will be tasked with working as part of a team to build a robotic arm made from cardboard and syringes.

 

In school Years 8 to 13 Engineering
Bespoke Program a Humanoid Robot Workshop Experimenting with the cutting edge of robotic technology, students taking part in this workshop will get to programme an intelligent, humanoid robot.

Bespoke Greenfoot Computing Sessions The School of Computing are now offering Partner and KMPF schools a range of in school workshops to introduce students to Greenfoot.

Bespoke Teaching Support by the School of Anthropology and Conservation The School of Anthropology and Conservation are keen to work with and support teachers who might be new to the teaching of anthropology or would benefit from additional support to develop teaching ideas and resources.
