Saturday Arts Academy

Kent School of Architecture

The Kent School of Architecture (KSA) would like to invite students from KMPF and partner schools to a new Saturday Arts Academy beginning in January 2017. The Arts Academy is open to students in years 10 and 11.

This a free Saturday arts programme, funded by the University and sponsored by local architectural practices, which aims to inspire young people interested in the creative arts and open doors for them into the creative sector. The weekly workshops which will help participants to develop new skills, will be run by industry professionals and practitioners, including artists, designers and lecturers who work in and around Kent. They will take place on the University of Kent’s Canterbury campus.

The course will run for thirteen sessions between January and June 2017 on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Kent School of Architecture are looking for students from KMPF and partner schools who would benefit from the Saturday Arts Academy programme, who are interested in the arts, and would like an opportunity to get creative!

As a taster, KSA are offering schools the chance to book an in-school workshop from mid-November to mid-December, to give students an idea of what the Saturday Arts Academy will entail.

If you are interested in the course or in hosting a workshop, please contact Sharmini at the Kent School of Architecture by emailing architecture@kent.ac.uk, or by telephoning 01227 824689.
