Stepping Up 1: Is University Right for Me?

From January to July we will be delivering and taking bookings for Stepping Up 1. This forms part of our successful three-module Stepping Up programme, which is designed for students in years 12 and 13 who are interested in finding out more about higher education.

The aim of Stepping Up 1 (SU1) is to give students in year 12 the information that they need about university to help them to decide if higher education is the right option. They will look at the variety of courses on offer, consider the benefits of going to university, talk to current undergraduates about student life and be given the opportunity to visit The University of Kent’s Canterbury campus.

Stepping Up 1 can be delivered in a day long format as well as weekly sessions. Schemes of Work are adapted to your students’ needs.

As with all the Stepping Up modules, SU1 is delivered by one of our specifically recruited tutors who are supported by trained student ambassadors.

To provide continuous support to your students, from considering university, through the application process, and up to preparing for university, please also consider the Stepping Up 2 and Stepping Up 3 modules. Data shows that Stepping Up has a greater impact when students attend more than one module.

If you would like to make a booking, please complete our enquiry form. If you require any further information about this module please contact outreach@kent.ac.uk.
