37 students from Mid Kent College, East Kent College and Canterbury College attended the University of Kent Partner College residential on the 24 and 25 June 2016. The overnight residential included a range of events and activities designed to give participants an opportunity to experience what life might be like on a campus university. Students lived alongside Ambassadors overnight in University accommodation and attended lectures and seminar in subjects linked to their BTEC courses at College, as well as trying some of the sports and societies that might be on offer in Higher Education. Feedback from the students that attended was incredibly positive, it boosted their confidence, opened them up to new experiences and encouraged them to start thinking about the future. One participant commented:
“It has reassured me that Uni isn’t as scary as I thought it would be”
