An exquisite rendition of Ravel&#8217;s <em>Pi\u00e8ce en forme de Habanera<\/em> opened the second half, which concluded with Franck&#8217;s epic Violin Sonata, an impassioned delivery, emotionally generous and brilliantly executed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-8905\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2018\/06\/IMG_20180628_114137-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2018\/06\/IMG_20180628_114137-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2018\/06\/IMG_20180628_114137-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2018\/06\/IMG_20180628_114137-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2018\/06\/IMG_20180628_114137.jpg 1260w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A riotous ovation from a packed, enthusiastic audience drew the performers back for two encores; a crafty Brahms <em>Hungarian Dance<\/em> full of wit and gypsy sass, and\u00a0<em>Salut d&#8217;amour<\/em> by Elgar that brought a towering recital to a beautifully lyrical close.
