Violinist <strong>Tasmin Little<\/strong> joins Canterbury Choral Society and the English Chamber Orchestra for Vaughan Williams\u2019 popular <em>The Lark Ascending<\/em> and <em>Dona Nobis Pacem<\/em> in the Cathedral on Saturday 4 November. Elsewhere, soul singer <strong>Ruby Turner<\/strong> will fill the Spiegeltent on Saturday 21 October, and there\u2019s a day-long celebration of progressive rock and the \u2018Canterbury Sound\u2019 on Saturday 28 October.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/07\/tenebrae_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8328\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/07\/tenebrae_2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/07\/tenebrae_2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/07\/tenebrae_2-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/07\/tenebrae_2.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Renowned choir <strong>Tenebrae<\/strong> celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with the newly-commissioned <em>Path of Miracles<\/em> by Joby Talbot (best-known for his addition of &#8216;Pluto&#8217; to Holst\u2019s <em>Planets Suite<\/em> and the ballet-score to the Royal Ballet\u2019s <em>Alice\u2019s Adventures in Wonderland)<\/em>\u00a0filling the Cathedral Nave on Saturday 28 October.<\/p>\n<p>Among the literary events is a one-man celebration of poets Philip Larkin and John Betjeman, alongside essays by Alan Bennett,<em> A Meeting of Minds<\/em> on Sunday 29 October.
