After spending some time travelling in a van, they landed in Florence, Italy, where they stumbled upon and trained in a fun and creative form of yoga called &#8216;The Rocket.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The Rocket is deeply rooted in the Californian music scene as well as traditional Ashtanga Yoga &#8211; something that very much appealed to a former music scholar! \u00a0The Rocket System &#8211; and yoga in general &#8211; completely transformed Lena&#8217;s life. Coming from a background of long-term illness, she saw her body and life transform&#8230; So she made the decision to let go of her doctorate studies and focus on her personal practice and teaching skills.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-8155\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/03\/Lena_Richy-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"220\" height=\"165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/03\/Lena_Richy.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/03\/Lena_Richy-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2017\/03\/Lena_Richy-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After moving to Brighton in February 2016, Lena and Richy started their yoga business, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lovelightyoga.eu\/\"><strong><em>LoveLightYoga<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, providing unique yoga instruction in the vibrant and creative seaside city.
