The group showed how a marimba could be turned into a shimmering curtain of sound in Peter Garland&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Apple Blossom<\/em>, which saw all four members grouped around the instrument, and the concert concluded in epic fashion with traditional drumming from Senegal.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7839\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2016\/10\/IMG_0758-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"img_0758\" width=\"651\" height=\"488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2016\/10\/IMG_0758-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2016\/10\/IMG_0758-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2016\/10\/IMG_0758-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px\" \/>A dramatic way to launch our new series: our thanks to Kopanya!
