{"id":6114,"date":"2014-11-17T11:30:24","date_gmt":"2014-11-17T10:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/?p=6114"},"modified":"2014-11-17T11:40:20","modified_gmt":"2014-11-17T10:40:20","slug":"image-gallery-cantiaquorum-launches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/2014\/11\/17\/image-gallery-cantiaquorum-launches\/","title":{"rendered":"Image Gallery: CantiaQuorum launches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the Devil danced away over the hill with Joseph the Soldier in tow at the end of Stravinsky&#8217;s <em>The Soldier&#8217;s Tale<\/em> on Friday night, our new resident ensemble, <strong>CantiaQuorum<\/strong>, danced into being at the end of its inaugural concert,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/11\/IMAG0688.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6120\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/11\/IMAG0688-1024x771.jpg\" alt=\"IMAG0688\" width=\"450\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/11\/IMAG0688-1024x771.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/11\/IMAG0688-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/11\/IMAG0688-900x677.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Formed from top-flight professional musicians based in Kent but often to be seen free-lancing with several London orchestras, Friday night&#8217;s concert combined Stravinsky&#8217;s morality play with a second half of Walton&#8217;s <em>Facade<\/em>, complete with guest narrators. Posy Walton grinned and guiled\u00a0as the\u00a0oily, preening\u00a0Devil, as well as giving robust earthiness to\u00a0Joseph in the Stravinsky, and clearly relished switching between
