{"id":6016,"date":"2014-08-26T10:11:18","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T09:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/?p=6016"},"modified":"2014-08-26T10:14:38","modified_gmt":"2014-08-26T09:14:38","slug":"our-autumn-music-series-now-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/2014\/08\/26\/our-autumn-music-series-now-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Autumn music series now online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hold onto your hats: the new <em>What&#8217;s On<\/em> for September to December has now been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/music\/whatson.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>published online<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Embracing everything from ancient instruments to contemporary chamber opera, the Colyer-Fergusson Hall will be abuzz this Autumn, bringing some of the very best music across the next four months.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6017\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6017\" style=\"width: 204px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/08\/Clare_Salaman.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6017\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/08\/Clare_Salaman.jpg\" alt=\"Strange and Ancient Instruments\" width=\"204\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/08\/Clare_Salaman.jpg 204w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/08\/Clare_Salaman-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2014\/08\/Clare_Salaman-144x144.jpg 144w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 204px) 100vw, 204px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6017\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Strange and Ancient Instruments<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <strong>Lunchtime Concert series<\/strong> begins with <em>Rags to Riches<\/em>, as pianist <strong>Helen Crawford<\/strong> brings her period-costume-bedecked performance of ragtime music on Weds 8 October; we&#8217;re delighted to be launching the new ensemble-in-residence, <strong>CantiaQuorum<\/strong>, who open their residency with Bach and Copland on Weds 5 November, as a curtain-raiser to their first formal concert later in the month with Stravinsky and Walton.
