{"id":5540,"date":"2013-12-16T14:57:50","date_gmt":"2013-12-16T13:57:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/?p=5540"},"modified":"2013-12-16T14:57:50","modified_gmt":"2013-12-16T13:57:50","slug":"the-end-is-nearly-in-sight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/2013\/12\/16\/the-end-is-nearly-in-sight\/","title":{"rendered":"The end is nearly in sight&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University Chorus and Symphony Orchestra brought their term to a rousing conclusion on Saturday night in the Colyer-Fergusson hall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-5541\" alt=\"Chorus_Orchestra_Dec2013\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2013\/12\/Chorus_Orchestra_Dec2013-1024x573.jpg\" width=\"553\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2013\/12\/Chorus_Orchestra_Dec2013-1024x573.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2013\/12\/Chorus_Orchestra_Dec2013-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But the music doesn&#8217;t end there; this Wednesday, there&#8217;s a seasonal <strong>&#8216;Watch This Space<\/strong>&#8216; on the foyer-stage, with festive contributions from the Chamber and Cecilian Choirs, the Lost Consort, Tutti Flutties, The Canterberries and the Dance Band starting at 1.10pm; then there&#8217;s live jazz from 2-3pm.<\/p>\n<p>Then at 5.15pm, the University Big Band invites us to <strong><em>Swing-along-a-Santa<\/em><\/strong>, including communal carols with the Brass Ensemble.
