A touch of outrage manifests itself in critic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/slippeddisc\/2010\/07\/some_gentle_arts_brain-twister.html\" target=\"_blank\">Norman Lebrecht&#8217;s lastest blogpost over on <em>Slipped Disc<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lebrecht poses a series of eight scathing questions concerning recent events in the nation&#8217;s cultural life: \u00a0the fourth concerns\u00a0one summer music festival, which\u00a0is billing itself as &#8216;Britiain&#8217;s first classical music festival&#8217; (anyone heard of the Proms over there ?) and is featuring Katherine Jenkins and Russell Watson. The festival&#8217;s website even features a video of Jenkins singing, erm, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bring_Me_to_Life\" target=\"_blank\">Bring Me To Life<\/a><\/em> by American rockers <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Evanescence\" target=\"_blank\">Evanescence<\/a> (at least, the one I found by using Google did: Lebrecht seems to avoid potential litigation by neglecting to name the festival directly.
