{"id":1477,"date":"2010-07-05T15:44:44","date_gmt":"2010-07-05T14:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/?p=1477"},"modified":"2010-07-07T21:41:49","modified_gmt":"2010-07-07T20:41:49","slug":"model-behaviour-seeing-the-new-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/2010\/07\/05\/model-behaviour-seeing-the-new-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Model behaviour: seeing the new building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another hot day last Friday saw us travelling to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timronalds.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Ronalds Architects <\/a>in London to discuss plans for the seating in the new Colyer-Fergusson centre for Music Performance, as well as to see early incarnations of the model of the new building.<\/p>\n<p>This is a truly exciting moment: when the two-dimensional paper plans begin to translate into a three-dimensional representation of the building, and you start to get an idea of what the all the plans, meetings and discussions have actually been driving towards.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1488\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1488\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2010\/07\/SP_A0020.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1488  \" style=\"margin-left: 5px;margin-right: 5px;border: white 5px solid\" title=\"CF_model_foyer\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2010\/07\/SP_A0020-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Model of the foyer\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2010\/07\/SP_A0020-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/files\/2010\/07\/SP_A0020.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1488\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Model of the foyer with performance stage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The model of the foyer, with its small performance stage, viewing balcony, social area and lobby (pictured left) gives a real sense of the interior which will greet visitors as they arrive. Musicians on the small foyer stage will be at the focus of the reception area, and viewers on the balcony will be really involved with the performance.
