{"id":10309,"date":"2020-11-03T12:38:36","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T12:38:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/?p=10309"},"modified":"2020-11-05T13:37:59","modified_gmt":"2020-11-05T13:37:59","slug":"the-virtual-music-project-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/2020\/11\/03\/the-virtual-music-project-returns\/","title":{"rendered":"The Virtual Music Project returns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/music-matters\/2020\/04\/17\/virtual-music-project-early-excerpts\/\"><strong>Virtual Music Project<\/strong><\/a> swings into action again this month, as we invite students, staff, alumni, families and friends to participate in creating virtual recordings of some seasonal carols.<\/p>\n<p>Over the lockdown which began in March (Lockdown 1.0, if you will), the project brought musicians from across the University community together in music by Vivaldi, Mozart and some 1940s swing tunes; I think we should start a competition to see who can record the most parts for any one piece&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Thanks also to Melody (pictured below) who has similarly recorded not one but TWO string-parts;
