Perspectives article highlights our published work!

The Journal of Physiology commissioned a short commentary to highlight our manuscript that was accepted for publication in July 2018.

The perspectives article, ‘Flowing from sense to action. Are neural integrators necessary?‘, by Dr. Andreas Kardamakis was recently published online.

Dr Kardamakis makes our research accessible to a broad readership by highlighting how fundamental physiological mechanisms we identified in the young Xenopus laevis tadpole fit in the wider context of short-term / sensory memory retention. To achieve this he draws on examples from the oculomotor field.

An open access pdf of our original research paper can be found here and a brief summary is available on our blog.
