This is a blog dedicated to the work of year 9 students from Brompton Academy who are participating in the University of Kent’s Minerva Award. This year the award will see students undertaking a workshops about creative writing and learning about the city of Athens, both ancient and modern. They will plan and carry out creative fieldwork in Athens as part of a trip to the city in spring 2019. Based on this work students will create a final piece of creative work to be published in summer 2019. The Minerva Award is a collaboration between the University’s Partnership Development Office, the School of English and Brompton Academy.
