The MEMS Fest Committee is thrilled to announce that our 2026 Call for Papers is\u00a0now open!<\/b><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n
Now in its twelfth year, MEMS Fest is an interdisciplinary, student-run conference hosted in Canterbury by the University of Kent’s Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This year’s conference will take place on\u00a0Friday 19th<\/sup>\u00a0and Saturday 20th<\/sup>\u00a0June<\/b>\u00a0and will explore the theme ‘Storycrafts in the Premodern World<\/b>,’ which we encourage attendees to interpret broadly within the scope of their own research and interests.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We are particularly keen to showcase the work of Canterbury’s own research community and so warmly invite you to consider submitting a proposal for either a\u00a020-minute presentation<\/b>\u00a0or a\u00a0poster paper<\/b>.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
To do so, please send an\u00a0abstract of up to 250 words<\/b>\u00a0to\u00a0memsfestival@kent.ac.uk<\/a><\/u><\/b>\u00a0by\u00a0Friday 20th<\/sup>\u00a0March 2026<\/b>, indicating in the email subject which of the two you are applying for.<\/div>\n
