As its website explains, <em>Knowledge Orders<\/em> (or KOM for short) is an innovative partnership between King&#8217;s College London and MEMS, funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leverhulme.ac.uk\/leverhulme-doctoral-scholarships\">Leverhulme Trust<\/a>, which will provide over the coming years \u00a32m+ funding for doctoral and master&#8217;s plus doctoral awards to study cultures of the handwritten.<\/p>\n<p>This year, five doctoral scholarships and one master&#8217;s plus doctoral scholarship are on offer. For the doctoral scholarships, candidates can apply either for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.komldsp.org.uk\/projects\/\">one of the advertised projects<\/a>, each designed by a supervisory team combining expertise from MEMS and King&#8217;s, or via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.komldsp.org.uk\/projects\/open-call\/\">the open call<\/a>, where the candidate proposes their own project.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.komldsp.org.uk\/ma-scholarships\/\">master&#8217;s plus scholarship<\/a> is designed by the Leverhulme Trust to increase inclusion and so there are criteria to encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for applications for the doctoral scholarships is noon on 8th May 2024. There is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.komldsp.org.uk\/how-to-apply\/\">a step-by-step guide to how to apply<\/a> on the site: candidates should apply to the relevant partner university and then submit an expression of interest to the programme via the website.
