Fifteenth Century Conference Open for Registration

The Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies is delighted to announce that registration for the Fifteenth Century Conference which it is hosting on 3rd-5th September 2026 is now open. It is being organised by MEMS stalwarts, Drs Sheila Sweetinburgh and David Rundle. David commented: ‘We have an exciting programme for you, with an international cadre of speakers, reflecting the range and vitality of fifteenth-century studies at the moment.’

The programme includes an afternoon in Canterbury Cathedral with not only papers but also a small exhibition of relevant manuscripts and documents in the Cathedral’s Archives. There will also be an optional trip to Sandwich on the afternoon of Saturday 5th September.

Sheila added: ‘The Fifteenth Century Conference is an annual gathering and we are pleased to be hosting it this year. One innovation will be to have a poster session for early career scholars. If you fit that description and are interested, do contact us.’

Sheila and David look forward to welcoming many scholars to our historic city in September on behalf of our thriving MEMS community. If you are interested, register here.
