More funded PhD positions available in MEMS

KOM homepage

Further funded positions to pursue doctoral research with MEMS are now available. These are in addition to the on-going CHASE competition, and the CHASE Collaborative Doctoral Award with Westminster Abbey (for that award the deadline is 17th February 2025). The new positions are advertised thanks to the support of the Leverhulme Trust who are funding a Doctoral Scholarship scheme, Knowledge Orders before Modernity, which is a collaboration between MEMS and King’s College London.

The remit of Knowledge Orders is to consider the construction and circulation of knowledge in handwritten cultures. There are two routes for applying for funding: five proposed projects are advertised, and there is also an open call for those who wish to propose a project which fits with the scheme’s themes. Five PhD places are available between the two institutions. The deadline for applications is 27th February 2025. If you are interested in joining MEMS through this scheme, do contact the scheme’s Kent Co-Director, Dr David Rundle.
