The central issue for this film was research on betrothal of girls as early as 7 years old with a view to marriage when they were 12 years old. The framework is a day in the life of ancient Rome \u2013 where did you go and at what time? who did you meet? what did you eat and drink? In just 6 minutes, the film conjures up a world of apartment blocks, fires, markets, baths, and rituals.\u00a0\u00a0 The animators at Cognitive created Lucius\u2019 marvellously austere father (<em>pater familias<\/em>).
