A huge congratulations to our Language Centre student Lorenzo Molinaro, who has been awarded the dissertation prize of the Society for Italian Studies (SIS) 2025 for their dissertation, which focused on the works of Pasolini.
The Society for Italian Studies is to further the study of Italy, Italian language, literature, film, thought, history, society and arts in the UK and Ireland. The competition is open to undergraduate students taking Italian as one of their subjects in their final year and postgraduate students in Italian studies who passed their work during the academic year just completed. Shortly after receiving their award, Lorenzo discussed enjoying the process of gathering sources for the dissertation and exploring a wide range of literature. Lorenzo also commented on the great academic support they have received in creating their dissertation particular from their supervisor Alvise Sforza Tarabochia.
