Our Language Centre Senior Lecturer in English Language and Linguistics, Dr Laura Bailey, was recently on the BBC News talking about this year’s Word of the Year ‘Rage Bait’, which has recently been unveiled by the Oxford Dictionary.
The word of the year is not just a new or frequently used word selected by the Oxford Dictionary but is voted on by the public.
