It will explore the particular relevance of the subject\/object paradigm for the analysis of EU Law, given its emergence as a new legal order of public international law.<\/p>\n<p>Contributors to the event will discuss the significant changes which surround the subjects and objects of contemporary EU Law as a result of the evolution of the EU\u2019s internal and external competences, and how knowledge and identification of the subjects and objects of EU Law is fundamental for legal certainty, for the rule of law, and for the EU\u2019s legitimacy in the wider world.<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed speakers for the event include:<br \/>\nDr Samo Bardutzky (University of Kent); Dr Andr\u00e9s Casteleiro-Delgado (Durham University); Dr Marios Costa (City University London); Dr Julie Dickson (University of Oxford); Professor Michelle Everson (Birkbeck); Dr Elaine Fahey (City University London); Professor Sir Francis Jacobs QC (King\u2019s College London); Dr Emilia Korkea-aho (University of Helsinki); Professor Dora Kostakopoulou (University of Warwick); Dr Damjan Kukovec (European Commission); Professor Laurent Pech (University of Middlesex); Dr Alina Tryfonidou (University of Reading); Ilaria Vianello (EUI, Florence)<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will be held at the City Law School in London. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.city.ac.uk\/events\/2015\/november\/framing-the-subject-and-object-of-contemporary-eu-law\">Please visit the City University of London website<\/a> to sign up for the event and for further practical information.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/cecl\/index.html\">Kent Centre for European and Comparative Law<\/a> provides a collaborative framework for the further development of Kent Law School\u2019s extensive activities in the areas of European and comparative law.
