{"id":9108,"date":"2026-11-02T10:11:13","date_gmt":"2026-11-02T10:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=9108"},"modified":"2026-11-02T10:30:45","modified_gmt":"2026-11-02T10:30:45","slug":"congratulations-to-dr-saadat-umar-pirzada-on-passing-his-phd-viva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/congratulations-to-dr-saadat-umar-pirzada-on-passing-his-phd-viva\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to Dr Saadat Umar Pirzada on Passing His PhD Viva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Law School is delighted to share that Saadat Umar Pirzada passed his PhD viva on Thursday 1 October.<\/p>\n<p>Saadat&#8217;s thesis title is: An econo-socio-legal exploration of the use of corporate mercenaries operating in third countries: Lessons from Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The examination panel consisted of Dr Konstantina Tzouvala (UNSW Sydney) and Professor Kate Bedford (University of Birmingham) as external examiners, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-law-school\/people\/1229\/parfitt-rose\">Dr Rose Parfitt<\/a> (University of Kent) as internal examiner.<\/p>\n<p>Saadat&#8217;s PhD was supervised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-law-school\/people\/1151\/perry-kessaris-facss-fdrs-sfhea-amanda\">Professor Amanda Perry-Kessaris<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Saadat on this important achievement.
