{"id":8845,"date":"2026-03-20T11:25:20","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T11:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=8845"},"modified":"2026-03-20T11:25:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T11:25:20","slug":"kent-law-school-welcomes-visiting-scholar-mahnaz-ajaz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/kent-law-school-welcomes-visiting-scholar-mahnaz-ajaz\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Law School Welcomes Visiting Scholar Mahnaz Ajaz"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Kent Law School welcomes Mahnaz Ajaz as a visitor to the <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/sergj\/\">Centre for Sexuality, Race and Gender Justice<\/a> (SeRGJ).<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Mahnaz Ajaz is a legal academic who is researching reproductive rights in the conflict-affected region of Jammu and Kashmir, with attention to the socio-legal and ethical dimensions of reproductive justice and the lived experiences of women navigating reproductive healthcare within a complex socio-political and legal landscape.<i>\u00a0<\/i>Mahnaz will be with us until the end of July 2026 and will be speaking at an upcoming SeRGJ seminar.<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div>Here is a short description of her research:<\/div>\n<div><i>Mahnaz&#8217;s research focuses on reproductive justice, gender and law in conflict-affected regions, with particular emphasis on Jammu and Kashmir. Her work is informed by feminist perspectives and centres on questions of autonomy, especially women&#8217;s reproductive autonomy within complex socio-political contexts.
