{"id":4724,"date":"2020-01-10T11:13:42","date_gmt":"2020-01-10T11:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=4724"},"modified":"2020-01-10T11:13:42","modified_gmt":"2020-01-10T11:13:42","slug":"call-for-papers-for-symposium-on-afterlives-of-the-universal-rethinking-laws-human","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/call-for-papers-for-symposium-on-afterlives-of-the-universal-rethinking-laws-human\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for papers for symposium on &#8216;Afterlives of the Universal: Rethinking Law&#8217;s Human&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A call for papers for a symposium on \u2018Afterlives of the Universal: Rethinking Law\u2019s Human\u2019, hosted by Kent Law School\u2019s Law and the Human Network, closes on Wednesday 15 January.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/law-and-the-human-network\/\">Law and the Human Network<\/a>, supported by a \u00a345,000 grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, is led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/people\/1334\/parsley-connal\">Dr Connal Parsley<\/a> (Principal Investigator) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/people\/1381\/drakopoulou-maria\">Professor Maria Drakopoulou<\/a> in partnership with Amherst College in the US. Its aim is to gather, support and advance interdisciplinary research that raises questions, provokes reflection and generates new knowledge on the figure of the human and its relationship to law.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/50b0602218c1\/call-for-papers-afterlives-of-the-universal-rethinking-laws-human-amherst-5-6-march-2020\">two-day symposium<\/a> will be held at Amherst College in Massachusetts on 5\/6 March.
