{"id":3509,"date":"2018-10-15T15:10:15","date_gmt":"2018-10-15T14:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=3509"},"modified":"2019-10-08T16:28:26","modified_gmt":"2019-10-08T15:28:26","slug":"interdisciplinary-workshop-exploring-roman-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/interdisciplinary-workshop-exploring-roman-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Interdisciplinary workshop exploring Roman Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scholars from across faculties at Kent are welcome to attend a two-day interdisciplinary workshop exploring Roman Law across the ages.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Recollecting Roman Law: Ancient perspectives on the contemporary\u2019 is the first event of the year for the Kent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/cct\/\">Centre for Critical Thought<\/a> (CCT) and its affiliated Law and History Research Group, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/clio\/index.html\">Clio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop has been organised by Kent Law School <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/people\/academic\/Drakopoulou,_Maria.html\">Professor Maria Drakopoulou<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/law\/people\/academic-staff\/alain-pottage\">Professor Alain Pottage<\/a> (London School of Economics).<\/p>\n<p>Professor Drakopoulou, Co-Director of CCT, said: \u2018The theme of the workshop is the exploration of Roman Law with reference to contemporary legal studies.
