{"id":3090,"date":"2018-04-03T13:50:56","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T12:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=3090"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:37:31","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T08:37:31","slug":"law-students-awarded-scholarships-for-european-summer-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/law-students-awarded-scholarships-for-european-summer-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Law students awarded scholarships for European Summer School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Law LLB students Rhianna Melvin and Anna Musch have been awarded a scholarship to attend a two-week\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/summerschools\/programmes\/brussels.html\">European\u00a0Summer School<\/a> in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>Rhianna and Anna, were two of 17 students selected for scholarships for Kent Summer Schools taking place in Brussels and Paris.<\/p>\n<p>The Summer School in Brussels, hosted by the Brussels School of International Studies from Sunday 17 June &#8211; Saturday 30 June, will address the theme of &#8216;Europe and the World&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Rhianna and Anna will be able to explore the main challenges facing the European Union through a combination of study visits, interactive seminars and debate with policy makers from institutions such as NATO and the European Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Although scholarship applications have now closed, it\u2019s not too late to apply &#8211; \u00a0applications to all of the University\u2019s Summer Schools <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/summerschools\/programmes\/brussels.html?tab=apply-or-get-in-touch\">remain open<\/a> until Monday 28 May 2018. The cost of \u00a31,700 includes accommodation, tuition, entrance fees on trips, lunches throughout the two weeks, a two-week travel card around Brussels and a celebratory final dinner to mark the end of the course.
