{"id":287,"date":"2015-01-29T13:28:18","date_gmt":"2015-01-29T13:28:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=287"},"modified":"2015-01-29T13:39:49","modified_gmt":"2015-01-29T13:39:49","slug":"criminal-justice-project-guest-speaker-event-with-local-police-community-support-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/criminal-justice-project-guest-speaker-event-with-local-police-community-support-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Criminal Justice Project guest speaker event with local Police Community Support Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Mollie Proctor has been invited to speak to students about her\u00a0role on Monday 2 February.<\/p>\n<p>The talk is one of a series of guest speaker events organised by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/clinic\/teams\/criminal.html\">Criminal Justice Project<\/a> (CJP) team based at Kent Law Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>PCSO Proctor, whose beat\u00a0covers the area\u00a0encompassing the University of Kent,\u00a0will talk about some of the challenges she faces in her job, the extent of her enforcement powers, and how her role relates to that of the police officer. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask their\u00a0questions. It is likely to be of particular interest to students studying criminal law and policing modules but is open to all.<\/p>\n<p>The talk will begin at 2pm in Keynes Seminar Room 4.
