Academics, practitioners and law students from across the UK will be exploring topics related to \u2018Law and the Body\u2019 at the Kent Critical Law Society\u2019s annual conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The annual two-day conference, hosted by the student-led lawyer\u2019s group, offers an opportunity to engage in lively, critical debate on issues relating to the body in critical legal thought.<\/p>\n

With speakers and audience members drawn from across the UK, attendees will be asked to consider how technology, inequality, politics, and rights discourse increasingly shape media, social trends, and how the body is fundamentally perceived.<\/p>\n

The conference will be held at Keynes College on the University of Kent\u2019s Canterbury campus over two days on 28th<\/sup> February and 1st<\/sup> March 2015.<\/p>\n

Kent Critical Law Society provides a forum for critical discussion of legal issues that have an impact on contemporary society and for an examination of issues from a social, economic and political perspective.<\/p>\n

As well as their annual conference, the society holds a series of events throughout the year, including guest lectures and workshops, debates, discussions and socials, all with the aim of sharpening critical thinking skills.<\/p>\n
