{"id":1977,"date":"2016-10-11T14:06:24","date_gmt":"2016-10-11T13:06:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=1977"},"modified":"2020-03-20T23:03:57","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T23:03:57","slug":"1977","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/1977\/","title":{"rendered":"Law students sought for editorial board of Kent Student Law Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Law students interested in applying to join the editorial board of the Kent Student Law Review are invited to attend a meeting on Monday (17 October).<\/p>\n<p>The Kent Student Law Review (KSLR) is a student-led publication, offering undergraduate and postgraduate law students an opportunity to have their work peer reviewed and published. The focus of KLSR is to publish theoretically informed critical legal scholarship that is the best representation of law in society.<\/p>\n<p>There are 15 positions available on the board including: Editor-in-Chief; two x Managing Editors; a Senior Editorial Board (comprising six students in either their second, third or fourth-year of undergraduate studies and including Senior Status students); and a Junior Editorial Board (comprising six first-year undergraduate students).<\/p>\n<p>Further details about the positions available (and a summary of the application process) is available in the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/files\/2016\/10\/KSLR-2016-Information-and-Call-for-Editors.pdf\">Call for Editors PDF document<\/a>. More information will be provided at the meeting to be led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/people\/academic\/Piska,_Nick.html\">Nick Piska<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/people\/academic\/Casey,_Donal.html\">Donal Casey<\/a> on Monday at 6pm in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/maps\/canterbury\/canterbury-campus\/building\/grimond-building\/glt2\">GLT2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The journal was was first established in 2013 by founding Editors-in-Chief, Nico Mesiainen and Ayda Tabrizi, with the support of Harley Ronan, former President of the Kent Critical Law Society. The founding members believed the journal would help show the legal community the unique, diverse and intellectual stimulation that is provided to Kent Law School students.\u00a0 It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/news\/articles\/kent_student_law_review_launch.html\">first launched<\/a> in October 2014 and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/news\/index.html?view=1538\">second volume<\/a> was published in April this year.
