{"id":1699,"date":"2016-06-14T10:53:09","date_gmt":"2016-06-14T09:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=1699"},"modified":"2016-06-14T10:53:09","modified_gmt":"2016-06-14T09:53:09","slug":"come-and-work-for-kent-law-school-three-lectureship-positions-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/come-and-work-for-kent-law-school-three-lectureship-positions-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Come and work for Kent Law School: three lectureship positions available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Law School is currently seeking applications for two permanent lectureships\/senior lectureships and a one-year fixed term lectureship.<\/p>\n<p>Ranked 8<sup>th<\/sup> in the UK for research intensity in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/news\/index.html?view=272\">Research Excellence Framework<\/a> (REF) 2014, the School has an excellent reputation for interdisciplinary\/critical research, legal education and public service. Almost all (99%) of the research submitted to the REF was judged to be of international quality and the School\u2019s environment was judged to be conducive to supporting the development of world-leading research.<\/p>\n<p>The School is home to several dynamic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/law\/research\/centres-and-groups\/index.html\">research centres and groups<\/a> offering a rich and varied programme of seminars, film screenings, visiting speakers, workshops, conferences and other research events.<\/p>\n<p>The Law School\u2019s approach to the teaching of law is both critical and contextual, encouraging students to develop their evaluative skills and to locate law within its broader social, historical and political context. It is ranked within the top 20 of three major university league tables (13<sup>th<\/sup> in the <em>Times Good University Guide<\/em> 2016; 15th in <em>The Guardian University Guide<\/em> 2017 for law; 19<sup>th<\/sup> in the Complete University Guide 2017), and is ranked among the top 150 institutions in the world for Law in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Subject priorities at the School include Private Law (particularly Contract, Equity, Trusts), Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Financial Services Law, and Criminal Law.
