Kent rises to a position of 19th in the Complete University Guide subject table for law, putting\u00a0it amongst\u00a0the top 20 law schools in\u00a0three\u00a0leading UK league tables.<\/p>\n
The latest Complete University Guide<\/a>\u00a0(2017) rankings, published yesterday, sees the Law School climb three places from last year, ahead of 81 other UK law schools.\u00a0Kent\u00a0Law School is also currently ranked 13th in the\u00a0Times Good University Guide <\/em>2016 and\u00a017th in The<\/em> Guardian University Guide<\/em> 2016.<\/p>\n Within the Complete University Guide’s most recent rankings, Kent Law School\u00a0ranks 16th in terms of graduate prospects and 17th in terms of research quality. The rankings are based on a total of 10 measures which also include:\u00a0student satisfaction, research intensity, entry standards, student-to-staff ratio, spending on academic services, spending on student facilities, good honours degrees achieved, and completion.<\/p>\n Earlier this month Kent was ranked 19th out of 30 UK law schools that made the global\u00a0list of top 200\u00a0institutions in the QS World University Rankings by Subject<\/a>\u00a0table.<\/p>\n In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, Kent Law School is ranked eighth\u00a0in the UK for research intensity. Almost all (99%) of the School’s research was judged to be of international quality with 79% judged as \u2018world-leading\u2019 or \u2018internationally excellent\u2019. The REF, an independent survey of UK universities, also ranks the School seventh\u00a0for research power with more than a third of the School’s research being given the highest 4* rating.<\/p>\n Kent Law School also achieved excellent results in the most recent\u00a0National Student Survey (NSS) with 90% of final year undergraduate students reporting that they were satisfied overall and confirming that they continue to be amongst the most satisfied students in the UK.<\/p>\n
