{"id":1375,"date":"2016-02-15T13:00:15","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T13:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/?p=1375"},"modified":"2020-03-20T23:08:12","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T23:08:12","slug":"law-students-secure-travel-grant-for-international-moot-competition-in-sri-lanka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/law-news\/law-students-secure-travel-grant-for-international-moot-competition-in-sri-lanka\/","title":{"rendered":"Law students secure travel grant for international moot competition in Sri Lanka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Law students Melanie Lafresiere, Jas Cheema and Tom Bishop have successfully applied for a grant of \u00a33,000 from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/giving\/opportunityfund\/projects\/index.html\">Student Projects Grant Scheme<\/a> to help cover travel costs for a trip to Sri Lanka in August where they will compete in the 11th LAWASIA International Moot Competition 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Accompanied by Kent Law School\u2019s Deputy of Director Johanne Thompson, it will be the second year a team from Kent have entered the competition.
