{"id":7,"date":"2018-02-26T14:10:49","date_gmt":"2018-02-26T14:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/landodlatestnews\/?p=7"},"modified":"2018-09-26T16:00:58","modified_gmt":"2018-09-26T15:00:58","slug":"womens-leadership-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/landodlatestnews\/2018\/02\/26\/womens-leadership-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s leadership programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The pilot Women\u2019s Leadership programme has been targeted at women across the University from both professional and academic staff and who has completed the University\u2019s LASR (Leadership for Areas of Significant Responsibility) programme.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this programme, is to deliver 4 high level workshops, each individually designed to complement and enhance the learning from the central LASR programme, whilst exploring new innovative leadership capabilities exclusively for women leaders at Kent, so they feel equipped, and empowered to challenge the current leadership gender imbalance.<\/p>\n<p>The first workshop took place in January which included an external facilitator discussing Women\u2019s Leadership: Perception vs Reality. Very positive feedback was received from the cohort including:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cSharing views and experiences\u201d <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u201cChance to understand work on the issues faced by women outside the university, because it put our experience at Kent into perspective.\u201d <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u201cI was heartened to see the amount of support and dedication for women&#8217;s leadership in the learning and development team.
