Would you like to be the first to know about some new and exciting opportunities? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Could you help us spread the word to your colleagues and friends?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) team are currently working to develop new and exciting blended learning solutions to meet some of our staff training needs. We are keen to involve a number of\u00a0\u00a0Champions<\/em><\/strong> from across the University who have a passion for development and would like to help launch and embed these new development activities within their teams, departments and across the organisation.<\/p>\n

As a Champion<\/em><\/strong> there will be a variety of ways you may get involved \u2013 it could be as simple as spreading the word about new opportunities for training, putting up posters or flagging things to your team or friends across campus. You may wish to get involved in testing new e-learning modules, take part in focus groups and surveys to help us better understand priorities for development, as well as provide feedback on topics and activities launched.<\/p>\n

So, what is blended learning?<\/p>\n

Blended learning is today’s learning! It\u2019s about using various combinations of current technology, media sources and traditional classroom training facilitation to their best. This means using things such as e-learning modules, videos, social media, digital apps and webinars as well as the traditional classroom based workshop activities. This will allow us to meet the needs of all types of learners across the University and provide quality, diverse, flexible and efficient development solutions.<\/p>\n

It will provide access to development opportunities suited to meet staff needs by creating learning in a range of formats. These can be flexibly accessed by staff regardless of their working patterns, types of roles or location and at times that suit them. There are also options for learners to work self-directed, alone or be part of social learning activities working with others, both which help effectively embed learning and enhance organisation wide collaboration and understanding.<\/p>\n
