A seminar for those who are experiencing it and anyone who is supporting staff who are experiencing it now or who may need to in the future (this includes men in case you are wondering!).<\/p>\n

The Learning and Organisational Development Team will be running a seminar on HRT and The Menopause on Friday 8 March 2019 in the Rochester Board room, Rochester Building, Medway campus starting at 9.30am until 11.15am. This important seminar will provide information, advice and guidance on the Menopause, how it affects women and the impact of this from a work perspective.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"This seminar will be delivered in two parts, part 1 a presentation by Anita Ralph <\/u>MSc (Herbal Medicine), MNIMH MCPP, who will share and open for discussion holistic medical approaches in treating the symptoms of The Menopause.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a Medical Herbalist, Anita combines the traditional knowledge and techniques of herbal medicine with modern pharmacological research to provide an effective and complementary approach, in conjunction with conventional medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anita became a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists in 1991 and completed an MSc in herbal medicine in 2006.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Medical herbalists take a holistic approach to medical conditions. Working in conjunction with Anne Henderson, Anita has had considerable success in treating menopausal patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

Part 2 of the seminar will be a presentation by Miss Anne Henderson \u2013 Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, who will share information and discuss The Menopause and Prescription HRT, medications etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anne has been a Consultant Gynaecologist for 18 years and is currently practicing at KIMS Hospital in Kent and also in London. Anne\u2019s main area of clinical expertise includes The Menopause (Inc HRT) and <\/span>post-natal depression, with particular emphasis on the benefits of hormonal therapy for these conditions.\u00a0 Anne is a strong\u00a0advocate of multi-disciplinary care, and has included complementary therapies within her practice for several years.\u00a0 She has run one of the largest menopause clinics in the South East for several decades and is keen to share her experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the presentations, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers both in open forum and on a 1 to 1 basis (the 1 to 1 Q&A\u2019s will take place after the main seminar ends). <\/span><\/p>\n

This seminar is open to men and women alike, as the menopause impacts not only those who are going through it but also partners, colleagues, managers and others who are there to support people who are going through it.<\/span><\/p>\n
