{"id":4254,"date":"2022-05-04T15:09:28","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T14:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/?p=4254"},"modified":"2022-05-04T16:14:31","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T15:14:31","slug":"professor-gordana-fontana-giusti-speaks-at-canterbury-maps-study-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/2022\/05\/04\/professor-gordana-fontana-giusti-speaks-at-canterbury-maps-study-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Professor Gordana Fontana Giusti speaks at Canterbury Maps Study Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Maps Study Day event was organised jointly by Canterbury Cathedral, The Historic Town Trust and Canterbury Christ Church University led by Dr Alexander Kent (Christ Church University) and Ms Cressida Williams \u00a0(Cathedral Archives and Library) with the aim to explore the history of Canterbury via its maps, cartography and map-making.<\/p>\n<p>The paper delivered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/architecture-planning\/people\/1074\/fontana-giusti-gordana\">Gordana Fontana-Giusti<\/a> was titled \u2018Christopher Packs: New Philosophical-Chorographical Chart of East Kent\u2019. The event included presentation of papers, visiting the map display at the Canterbury Cathedral Archives and the attendance to the Evensong in Canterbury Cathedral. This has been yet another successful public engagement collaboration with our local and national partners.
