The End of Year\u00a0Show involves the whole of\u00a0Kent School of Architecture\u00a0from foundation and first year right through to MArch, Postgraduate\u00a0and PhD studies.<\/span>\u00a0The exhibition will\u00a0be a\u00a0celebration of architecture through drawing, models, photography and research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stage 5 and 4 will be\u00a0in Studio C downstairs. It’s the second year of the unit system which uses vertical teaching to combine both 4th and 5th year. Projects run for a whole year and range from Kent to Canvey Island, Portland to Istanbul. This year the projects have a wide scope and deal with issues of flooding, pollution, community, regeneration and infrastructure. Each unit\u00a0has put together its own individual exhibition through the collaboration of the unit leaders and students.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The tutors for this year are Unit 1; Michael Richards and Michael Holms Coats. Unit 2; Ed Holloway and Peter Ayers. Unit 3; Corinna Dean And Diana Cochrane. Unit 4; Shaun Murray and Yorgos Loizos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stage 3 projects include the\u00a0Modular and Urban modules. Modular is a masterplan in Canterbury of education building, student accommodation, public\u00a0housing and a boarding house and\u00a0\u200bUrban is\u00a0in Rochester:\u00a0a design for a School of Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘For the second year running the students have taken control of the\u00a0Kent\u00a0School of\u00a0Architecture\u00a0Degree Show. Tasked with designing both the exhibition and the degree catalogue,\u00a0we see\u00a0the students and staff working collaboratively\u00a0and on a level playing field, in order\u00a0to\u00a0celebrate\u00a0the diverse architectural\u00a0expression which\u00a0manifests itself through various mediums. Our commitment to the Degree Show programme has seen it grow to fruition,\u00a0from the design of the invitations and\u00a0graphical identity of the school, to the collation and\u00a0display\u00a0of over 200 artefacts of student\u00a0work. This\u00a0culminates in a bespoke and extensive catalogue that\u00a0illustrates the all-encompassing\u00a0ethos of the school.\u00a0We hope these efforts will take\u00a0Kent School of Architecture\u00a0a step further into\u00a0the architectural community and wish for a significant turnout to witness the schools progression.’ <\/span><\/em>Rosie Seaman & Peter Evans\u00a0– <\/span>MArch Stage Five<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
