The lecture will be on Tuesday 25 May at 1pm, and is organised by the chair of History of Architecture for the graduate students in architecture and construction engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Guerci&#8217;s lecture titled, &#8216;The Day After&#8217;, focuses on the spreading of the Italian language and the affirmation of classicism in 18th-century architecture in Britain, also through the figures of artists, connoisseurs, and entrepreneurs like Giovan Battista Piranesi and John Soane.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture series marks the 300th anniversary of Giovanni Piranesi&#8217;s birth.
