BA (Hons) Architecture Programme Director, Dr Manolo Guerci will be giving a lecture titled, ‘The Day After’ at the Tor Vergata University of Rome as part of a series of lectures which are dedicated to Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778) and his heritage. The lecture will be on Tuesday 25 May at 1pm, and is organised by the chair of History of Architecture for the graduate students in architecture and construction engineering.<\/p>\n

Dr Guerci’s lecture titled, ‘The Day After’, focuses on the spreading of the Italian language and the affirmation of classicism in 18th-century architecture in Britain, also through the figures of artists, connoisseurs, and entrepreneurs like Giovan Battista Piranesi and John Soane.<\/p>\n
