The RTPI &#8216;champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities&#8217;. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtpi.org.uk\/about-the-rtpi\/governance\/general-assembly\/\">General Assembly<\/a> provides a forum for debate about the development of planning policy and practice. Nominations for this year\u2019s RTPI Elections opened in June and voting took place between 21 August and 23 September.<\/p>\n<p>As a Chartered Member of the General Assembly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/architecture-planning\/people\/62\/bagaeen-samer\">Professor Samer Bagaeen<\/a> will have the opportunity to debate matters of importance to the Institute; the General Assembly is the debating chamber of the Institute, which meets three times a year.
