{"id":3142,"date":"2019-12-10T15:48:36","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T15:48:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/?p=3142"},"modified":"2019-12-10T15:48:36","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T15:48:36","slug":"dr-peter-bus-delivers-public-lecture-and-workshop-at-national-united-university-in-taiwan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/2019\/12\/10\/dr-peter-bus-delivers-public-lecture-and-workshop-at-national-united-university-in-taiwan\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Peter Bu\u0161 delivers public lecture and workshop at National United University in Taiwan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/architecture-planning\/people\/1072\/bu%C5%A1-peter\">Dr Peter Bu\u0161<\/a>, member of <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/digital-architecture\/\">DARC Research Centre<\/a>, was invited by Assistant Professor Shi-Yen Wu from the Department of Architecture at the National United University (NUU) in Taiwan to give a public lecture and a computational design workshop based on his previous collaborative activities with the NUU.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Peter Bu\u0161&#8217; lecture, \u2018Transforming architecture in the age of digitisation of construction: participation, automation and evolving responsive concepts for the 21st Century\u2019, conceptually outlined the idea of crowd-driven assemblies for flexible and adaptive constructions utilising automatic technologies in the context of twenty-first century cities.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop, &#8216;Emergent proto-architectural formations: towards bio-integrated responsive architectural design, computational design workshop&#8217; was attended by 60 students from National United University in Miao-Li and 13 students from the Shadong Jianzhu University in China.
