The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fewmeter.org\">FEW-meter<\/a> project aims at measuring the efficiency of urban agriculture in terms of resource consumption, food production and social benefits. Each one of the five countries involved in the project (UK, France, Germany, Poland and USA) will focus on a specific type of urban agriculture and a particular city. The UK will be looking at Community Gardens and City Farms in London, which have recently seen a surge of interest.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/files\/2019\/09\/Technology-and-Green-Spaces-event-leaflet.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2967 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/files\/2019\/09\/Technology-and-Green-Spaces-event-leaflet-211x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/files\/2019\/09\/Technology-and-Green-Spaces-event-leaflet-211x300.jpg 211w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/files\/2019\/09\/Technology-and-Green-Spaces-event-leaflet-768x1089.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/files\/2019\/09\/Technology-and-Green-Spaces-event-leaflet-722x1024.jpg 722w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ksa\/files\/2019\/09\/Technology-and-Green-Spaces-event-leaflet.jpg 1749w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 211px) 100vw, 211px\" \/><\/a>On Tuesday 29 October, the FEW-Meter project will be holding a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmgarden.org.uk\/events\/technology-and-green-spaces-london\">one-day symposium<\/a> showcasing the use of the latest technology in green spaces. Sessions covering topics surrounding technology, food, environment and access; plus a presentation given by key note speaker, Mike Hardman from the University of Salford.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmgarden.org.uk\/events\/technology-and-green-spaces-london\">&#8216;Technology and Green Spaces&#8217;<\/a> symposium will be held at The Garden Room, St Luke&#8217;s Community Centre, 90 Central Street, London EC1V 8AJ.<\/p>\n<p>For all staff and PhD students at Kent School of Architecture and Planning,\u00a0 the event is free.
