Samer Bagaeen, Professor of Planning at the Kent School of Architecture and Planning, has been appointed by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to chair a high-level working group on sustainable finance.
The RICS World Built Environment Forum’s (WBEF) mission is to advance discussions of critical importance to the built and natural environment, inspiring positive and sustainable change for a prosperous and inclusive future. The UK Advisory Board, which Professor Bagaeen will chair, will provide recommendations on key areas of focus – the most pressing issues relating to sustainable investment practices, and the solutions that underpin and enable more sustainable growth in the built environment.
Professor Bagaeen will lead the board and wider community – or over 25,000 international senior professionals and academics – in discussing the three priorities in investing sustainably in the built environment, trends in the area and challenges that the sector needs to overcome.
By sharing best practice and working collaboratively, the board hopes to help build a greener and more sustainable future for the sector.
