Workshop July 2019: Assessment and Treatment of Adult Firesetters

This workshop offers training on best practice approaches to the assessment and treatment of adult firesetters.
The training covers:
1. Characteristics and Theoretical Explanations of Firesetting
2. Treatment Needs and Risk Assessment with Firesetters
3. Treatment of Firesetters

As part of this training delegates are provided with formal training on the delivery of two new evidence based interventions for firesetters: The Firesetting Intervention Programme for Mentally Disordered Offenders (FIP-MO) and the Firesetting Intervention Programme for Prisoners (FIPP).
The FIP-MO is a specialist intervention which has been developed for use with male and female offenders with a mental/personality disorder who have a history of deliberate firesetting
The FIPP is a specialist intervention which has been developed for use with prisoners who have a history of deliberate firesetting.

Additional information:
The training includes a copy of either the FIP-MO or FIPP manual for all delegates along with all reading and training materials to enable them to run the programme.
Delegates select in advance which programme manual they would like to receive as part of the training to meet their professional needs.
Important Information: To be able to deliver either the FIP-MO or FIPP programme involvement of a registered practitioner (e.g. psychologist) is required.
